Am I the only one who's not seeing any postings in this newsgroup lately?

It has gotten kind of quiet around here. There seem to be around 5
regular fic/etc posters left (regular = at least monthly). (Haven't
posted a fic here myself since September, 2005. I've been posting to
other places instead.)

I'm guessing that most of the old, active writing crowd has moved on to
other, friendlier locales like LiveJournal.

While I consider liveJournal far from friendly, I agree that it's likely to
have a larger audience because not many people have usenet, so it's not
unlikely that they did.
Still, give me a nice complete archive/index site with extended search
function over both of them. :-)

Oh yeah... trying to find any NEW writers with readable fics on
LiveJournal is a very frustrating endeavor. And the quality of what you
do find... can be scary.

Oddly enough, the recent FanLib controversy has certain elements on
LiveJournal attempting to come up with an indexing/cataloging scheme for
fics on LiveJournal but they seem to be starting from scratch and not
wanting to learn from all of the different fic archives that already
exist out there. Oh well...
