AN: This story takes place after Homecoming.
Homecoming was over, the for the first time ever Sunnydale High had co-
Queens. It had been a close race. If Buffy hadn't run Cordelia
likely would have run. And that fact led Xander to try to prevent an
explosion between the two
"Now things were said, feelings were hurt, dreams lost. But I think
it's very important to clear the air. I mean we all the people here
aren't the brightest, so why lose a friendship over it. And I think
it would really be good if you apoligized to each other for what was
said, to get the hurt feelings out of the way,"
Both Buffy and Cordelia looked at him like he was crazy, spouting some
of Shelia Rosenberg's psycho-babble. Cordelia glared. Buffy crossed
her arms defiantly.
But finally she gave. With a sigh and a roll of the eyes.
"Okay, maybe you're right. I don't suppose it'll hurt to do this.
I'm sorry I cost you the election Cordelia. And also for calling you
a vapid whore."
"Apology accepted. And I'm sorry for calling you a crazy freak. And
for stomping on your dreams. I mean if I hadn't run then you would've
won."
"You don't mean that."
"No, I don.... Actually I do. I really hope anyone who had the good
taste to vote for me would have never voted for those two losers."
Xander relaxed as the two began the traditonal female bonding ritual
of tearing down rivals.
